In short, the name Grijalva in southern AZ. has two popular connotations; one is of socialism and workers' rights, with all of the stereotypical slogans and conventional rhetoric of liberal-democrats; the other is of Latin-American bigotry, political corruption and collusion with criminal entities in Mexico. The career of the late Raul Grijalva has left a mixed legacy in southern Arizona, however the most conspicuous results of his work are unprecedentedly high poverty rates, increased wealth-disparity, and drug related crime rates on the Tribal lands of the Tohono Oʼodham people; and of-course there is his daughter Adelita -now elected to the U.S. House of Representatives- who takes the identical political and social views as her father. The growth and success of La Raza Unida (R. Grijalva's political party from the earliest days of his career) has paralleled the growth of Latin-American gangs in the U.S. (most notoriously the 'Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation') and crime syndicates in Mexico (most notoriously the drug cartel of Sinaloa State), and although the connection is difficult to directly trace, the present day UnidosUS appears to be the current iteration of the United Race Party. UnidosUS has endorsed many politicians in the U.S. with the same extreme views as R. Grijalva (especially on the issue of race and racism), not the least notable of all being Regina Romero and Kamala Harris, whose careers as Mayor of the City of Tucson, AZ. and as Vice President of the U.S. respectively have corresponded to the greatest period of political and financial growth for transnational criminal organizations operating between the U.S. and Mexico. The financial ties between U.S. politicians and Latin-American prison gangs may have facilitated the successful campaign of UnidosUS for the election of Ruben Gallego to the U.S. Senate (a self-identified Latino from Chicago, Illinois), and this may be significant of the political climate in AZ which has fostered both the political extremism and success of the Grijalva family.

I'd like to begin by asking for information describing the relationship between the Grijalva family and Luis Ernesto Dicochea and his wife Andrina Marie Melendez-Dicochea. Exploring this relationship may be key to revealing a direct connection between politicians in the U.S. with transnational criminal organizations.

Here is some of Andrina's social media:

Nice write up.

In particular, drug trafficking has wreaked tremendous damage on the Tohono O'odham (Papago) Nation as it abuts the border with Sonora.

Ultimately, the simplest solution is to "follow the money," but that'll never happen; too many people--American politicians, in particular--are raking in too much cash.
