Interesting read. Sinaloa has always seemed similar to places such as Sicily--no outsiders are wanted or welcome. In the case of Sinaloa, this is apparently changing.

Only reason I can think of for why this is: the money to be made from the drug trade and other organized criminal enterprises. This lot is behaving similarly to the gringos and gringas north of the border: only money matters.
